Curtain comes down on 2013 Spring/Summer leagues

Ottawa Footy Sevens
Way back on May 3rd, our spring and summer seasons kicked off just after 6pm with a men’s 11-a-side game at Ottawa U. Exactly 6 months later, on the 3rd of November, they finally drew to a close with another men’s 11-a-side, this time the summer league final at Hillcrest High School. In between we’ve seen around 2,000 coed, men & women’s games played at some of the premium facilities across the city.
With the first few frosty days, halloween in the rear view mirror and the clocks going back, it is definitely the right time to bring the curtain down on the spring and summer leagues, but we did get a perfect fall day for the Men’s 11-a-side final. The Big Test Icicles FC took 3rd place with a single goal victory, but FIFA belied their 4th place regular season finish by dominating the final with an outstanding performance. Always in control, they ran out 5-1 victors over Cebollitas.
Thank you to everyone taking part in any of our spring and summer league. It was our biggest season yet, with 300 teams taking part in the spring leagues alone, and we appreciate you choosing to play your soccer with us. We hope you all enjoyed the leagues and we look forward to seeing you indoors for the fall and winter leagues.

Fall and Winter League Registration

Many of our fall leagues are under way (despite some unfortunate disruption to the schedule at Ottawa U’s Lees Dome) but there are still a couple of spots available at some venues. Our 2014 winter leagues are available for pre-sale registration for current captains, and public registration will go live later in the month.
