$1850 raised for Ottawa Food Bank at last night of soccer

Last night was our final night of soccer for the year and decided to try to end a crappy 2020 on a high, by raising some money for the Ottawa Food Bank.

Huge thanks to our friends at the Department of Athletics at Carleton University who donated the field time. That meant that every penny of the player and team fees from last night went straight to the Ottawa Food Bank in a joint fundraising effort between CU Athletics and Ottawa Footy Sevens.

As usual our soccer community came through for us and between player fees and donations, we raised an incredible $1850 for the Ottawa Food Bank to help feed hungry families in our local community. Thank you, everyone and we’ll see you in 2021!

The holidays are always an especially tough time of year for many families especially with many people having no paid work during another impending lockdown. If you are in a more fortunate position, please consider donating to families in need or volunteering to help at the Ottawa Food Bank website.
