We had another visit to the Complexe Branchaud-Briere yesterday to see the installation of the turf on the indoor soccer field. It’s on schedule and will be finished in a few days, and it was exciting to see the turf going down and really start get a feel for how the field will look once complete. We also found out that we may be able to stream some of our league games live onto the screens in the bar/restaurant, which should be a lot of fun and another added bonus at this venue. That being said, if you are upstairs enjoying an after game beer and a meal, we don’t advise switching channels from OT in the Sens/Habs game to Goalfinger vs Killer Bees. It might not be the most popular of moves. . . .
Don’t forget that we are hosting our first Play from the Heart charity coed soccer tournament in aid of the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Team and individual registration is available and it takes place two weeks from now on Saturday 14th of September. The following month sees the kick off of our fall coed leagues at Complexe Branchaud-Brier with 90 minute games on Tuesdays or 60 minute games on Thursdays. Details of both can be found on the footy sevens website.
The Complexe Branchaud Briere is approximately 17 minutes from Parliament Hill.
