For those of you that haven’t had to use the ubiquitous search engine yet this morning, check out the google doodle for the Women’s World Cup on the google home page this morning. It’s looks good.
It’s also going to be the first FIFA tournament where goal-line technology will be used in every game. No more Frank Lampard against Germany controversies. Actually an on-field controversy would probably count as a welcome distraction for FIFA just now. With so many questions over the way that the France, South Africa, Russia and Qatar Men’s World Cups were awarded, a Women’s World Cup in Canada is probably exactly what FIFA needs right now.
Go Canada!
