Fall/Winter Leagues Part 2: What's New at Ottawa U

Ottawa Footy Sevens Coed League
See yesterday’s post for “Fall/Winter Leagues Part 1: 90 minute games at new location
Our second major addition to our fall/winter league line-up will be three new leagues at the brand new Lees Campus Dome at Ottawa University. The new dome will be centrally located at the Lees Campus of Ottawa University and feature three turf 7-a-side fields with full field markings, nets and goals. We are lucky enough to have secured a significant amount of field time and will be hosting 3 brand new leagues there to compliment our existing Sunday and Monday leagues at the Hornet’s Nest and Louis Riel Domes.

Sunday Afternoon Coed at Ottawa U

We have the full field booked for Sunday afternoons and we will be hosting a Sunday coed league with kick off times between 12 noon and 4pm. It is sure to be an extremely popular league, and half a dozen of the team spaces have already been snapped up on the first day of our presale for our current captains. The 11-game league will run from the 17th of November through until early February with all games at the same location. Team registration costs $1800 and a team spot can be reserved with a $250 deposit. Individual registration will also be available once the league is on sale to the public in early August.
Sunday Evening Men’s 7-a-side at Ottawa U
As well as our coed league, we’ll also be offering a men’s league at Ottawa U on Sundays, in the late afternoon/early evening 3-7 pm slot. The new league adds a third men’s league option in fall and winter, complimenting our existing Tuesday late and Saturday afternoon leagues in the east end of the city.
At Ottawa U, the start date of November 17th, and 11 week season length will be the same as the coed league. The cost will be the same too: $1800 per team, and individual registration will cost $200. Pre-sale is open for current Ottawa Footy Sevens captains, and full registration will open in early August.
Monday Evening Coed League at Ottawa U
Our Monday evening league at Louis Riel/Hornet’s Nest has been always been one of our most popular fall and winter leagues and sells out every year. In order to keep up with the demand, we have added a second Monday league at the new Ottawa U dome, taking our capacity to 50 coed teams. The Ottawa U games will be evenly split between 8pm, 9pm, 10pm and 11pm games and will begin on Monday November 18th. The league will be 10 games long, cost $1700 per team and run through until early February 2014. As with our other two Ottawa U leagues, the fall season will be immediately followed by a winter season, running from early February though until early May.
