Remembrance at Football

The poppy card display at Ibrox

Here is a superb remembrance image from British football that you probably missed yesterday.
The magnificent poppy and flags card display shown above was organised by a Glasgow Rangers fans’ group.  It was displayed during the minute’s silence at the Glasgow Rangers vs Peterhead game in the Scottish 3rd Division and involved around 30,000 of the 48,000 crowd holding up individual cards to form the poppies and flags.
There are a couple of Canadian connections too, with the photographer using In Flanders Fields by Canadian John McCrae, and 17 year old Canadian, Fraser Aird made his 7th appearance for the Scottish giants.
