Kicking Cancer's Butt 10 raises over $14,000

4 teams, 40+ players and way, WAY too many characters in all of their team names. . . Seb’s stable of soccer players corralled into one place yesterday.

The final games for all 30 teams have been played, the donations counted and the Kicking Cancer’s Butt tournament has been put to bed for another year.

This year’s total now stands at over $14,000, and often rises in the next few days after the tournament as a few more donations trickle in. It’s another magnificent total raised by our community of recreational soccer players. Once again a huge thank you to all of the players, volunteers and spectators that contributed to this year’s event. You can still make a donation here.

For the third year-running, a huge shout out to Team Grayson who once again broke their own record for the most raised by a single team, hitting their self-imposed target of raising $4,000. Simply amazing guys!

The tournament has now raised over $120,000 for the Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation over the first ten tournaments. Here’s to raising even more over the next 10! You can find some of the team groups we took below, and we’ll post the action shots tomorrow in another post once we get a chance to edit them.

Who won? . . . . well, you’ll just have to wait until tomorrow’s post to reveal who the new KCB champions are!
