Men's and Women's League added to 2012 Spring and Summer League Line-up

Ottawa Footy Sevens: Coed, men's and Women's Soccer Leagues
Ottawa Footy Sevens

We are delighted to be able to announce the addition of Women’s and Men’s leagues to our Spring and Summer offerings. Until now we’ve been an exclusively coed league, and the majority of our leagues will always remain coed. However we’ve had many requests from players who would want to play both coed and women and men’s soccer.
Of course the new women’s and men’s leagues will be organised in the same manner as our coed leagues, 7 vs 7 with referees, goals and nets for every game, and played on the best indoor and outdoor turf facilities in Ottawa and Gatineau. We’ll take the same time to grade and organise teams into divisions that should suit their skill level and continue to offer the best customer service possible.
Our women’s league will kick off with and indoor league on Tuesday evenings at the Ben Franklin Dome in Nepean and Fridays at Ottawa U’s Matt Anthony field. The men will play on Thursdays at the Ben Franklin Dome. Both leagues begin in mid-May and both teams and individual registration is now open and available at www.ottawafootysevens.com.
You can find details of our fantastic line up of Coed leagues in our ottawafootyblog or drop us an e-mail at admin@ottawafootysevens.com if you have any questions.

Venue Details:

We were amongst the first organisations to use the newly completed turf field at Ottawa U when it opened last June, and this year we’ll be out there right from the start of May. The 60 minute leagues on Fridays and Sundays are within walking distance of the market and are sure to be popular with those teams looking to combine the sport and social aspect of their soccer.

Our newest venue for the upcoming summer leagues will be the Ben Franklin Dome in Nepean. We haven`t had a venue in the South of the city since we stopped using Minto field in 2010, so we are delighted to be able to add a local venue for our teams who hail from South Ottawa, Barrhaven and Riverside South. The indoor leagues will be taking place on Tuesdays and Thursdays and get underway in the middle of May.
We still have one or two more leagues to finalise: watch this space for information on our coed leagues and the 3rd annual Kicking Cancer’s Butt Charity Soccer Tournament.
Hopefully we`ve got something for everyone in there, for registration, pricing and full details go to www.ottawafootysevens.com or drop us an e-mail at admin@ottawafootysevens.com.
