Kicking Cancer's Butt IV

Charity Coed Soccer TournamentIt’s that time of year again and we are less than 48 hours away from opening registration for the 2013 Kicking Cancer’s Butt Tournament
Your team can take part in this wonderful event with a minimum donation of only $250, and EVERY PENNY OF EVERY DONATION GOES STRAIGHT TO THE OTTAWA REGIONAL CANCER FOUNDATION  Over the last 3 years the event has raised over $24,000 for the ORCF.
The tournament is a two day 7-a-side coed soccer tournament and will take place at the Louis Riel Dome in the east end of the city. What better way could there be to warm up for summer soccer ?
Each team will play a minimum of 3 games during their round robin section and you can choose from one of three section:

  • Friday Evening: 31st May 6.30-10.00pm We’ve decided to add a recreational section on Friday this year. We’re hoping to give some of the more recreational teams a chance to play a few more games against opposition of a similar standard. To this end we would ask teams from our A divisions (and B divisions in league with 4 or more divisions) NOT to register for the Friday section and to register for one of the Saturday sections.
  • Saturday Early: 1st June 10am-1.30pm
  • Saturday Late: 1st June 1.30pm-6pm.

Playoffs for qualifiers from all three sections: Saturday evening from 6pm onwards.

New for 2013

Individual Registration

We have previously offered only team registration for the tournament, but one of the long terms supporters of the tournament, Dave Walls, has volunteered to organise individual teams for those who want to take part but do not have a full team available to them. Dave can be contacted at the address below

Recreational Section

The Friday section will be aimed at our more recreation teams and we would ask any teams that normally play in the A divisions in our league (or A & B divisions in the leagues with 4 or more divisions) to register for one of the Saturday sections.
