Some good goalkeeping from  the newly turfed Raven Road Field at Carleton University this summer. It took a week or two for the infill (the little rubber pellets) to play in and settle properly into the turf, as can be seen from the spray of black pellets that the ball left in its wake. Carleton University re turfed two fields over the past few months, with the Raven Road Field going from grass (well, dust and weeds mainly) to maybe the best turf surface in the city.
They have also replaced the old carpet style turf in the fieldhouse with a brand turf and we are looking forward to starting there on January 2nd with our Friday Evening Men’s league. Registration for teams is now open, and individual registration opens next week.
