Schedule and format has been updated and can be found on the Footy Sevens website.

Where the money goes:

100% of every team donation, every bribe, everything sold at the barbecue goes straight to the Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation. The staff and referees are volunteering, the food, barbecue and trophy etc has been donated and Ottawa Footy Sevens has paid for all of the field time, so there are there are no costs whatsoever coming off of any donation.

Kicking Cancer’s Butt Barbecue:

One of our team captain’s has organised a barbecue for both days of the tournament and there will be burgers, hot dogs, a vegetarian alternative, chips, water and drinks available just outside the dome entrance. 100% of all sales to the Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation. What better way to spend the time between games than having a bite to eat in the Ottawa sun (we hope!). Bringing a lawn chair might be a good call too.

Bribe the Ref:

As always at the Kicking Cancer’s Butt tournament, you can play the “Bribe the Ref” card and buy a penalty for your team in exchange for a $5 or $10 donation during any of the round robin games. Click here for more details on Bribe the Ref.

Donations on the day:

We can accept further donations on the day of the tournament by cash or cheque. Please give them to Chris, Andrew or Dan and they will give you a receipt for your donation.

Volleyball:

Our sister organisation Ottawa Volley Sixes has donated a space in their Tuesday Summer Mixed Volleyball League at Carleton U.
Kicking Cancer’s Butt players can join this team for a further donation of $30 or more, all of which will go directly to the Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation. Contact chris@ottawavolleysixes to join, or speak to me at the dome over the weekend.

Ottawa Fury:

The Ottawa Fury has given us free passes to their Saturday evening game against the Western Mass Pioneers at Algonquin College. Kicking Cancer’s Butt entrants can pick up their pass at the dome on Friday or Saturday.
