With all of the spring leagues now underway, registration has opened for all of our summer/fall leagues. We are continuing at almost all of the venues from the spring leagues and increased the capacity in some of the most popular leagues. Hopefully we have something to keep you playing in Ottawa’s best coed soccer leagues through the summer and early fall months.
Our 90 minute indoor leagues on Monday and Wednesday leagues at Louis Riel Dome/Hornet’s Nest sold out in a matter of days when we opened registration for the Spring leagues, and some of the teams that had been playing on those days at those venues right through summer and winter missed out on their normal slot. We’ve added extra capacity on both evenings for the summer season to try to meet the demand. The 10 week seasons begin in the last week of July and run through until October.
We’ll also be continuing to offer the 90 minute indoor games at the two Gloucester domes on Sunday afternoons, beginning on August 19th.
Our other Sunday venue will be Raven Field at Carleton University. The Sunday evening league will be 11 games and we’ve increased the capacity again to accommodate those who missed out in spring. The league will be almost exclusively at Carleton, but each team may have one or two games on the turf field at UQO in Gatineau. Fridays will also continue at Raven Field, commencing on August 10th.
Although there will not be another Saturday afternoon league at Carleton (due to the Varsity soccer games during Fall term), we have added a Wednesday evening outdoor league at Carleton U and it will run from August 29th until mid October.
This Spring saw us add leagues at Ben Franklin Dome in Nepean, an excellent local venue for our teams who hail from South Ottawa, Barrhaven and Riverside South. The indoor leagues on Tuesdays and Thursdays were a great success and will be continuing into the summer/fall seasons. Coed is available on both Tuesday and Thursday, the women’s league on Tuesday and the men’s on Thursday. All of these leagues begin at the end of July.
The final addition to our summer program is a new women’s league on Sundays over at Louis Riel Dome. The 60 minute games will have early evening kick offs and begins on August 19th.
Hopefully we`ve got something for everyone in there, for registration, pricing and full details go to www.ottawafootysevens.com or drop us an e-mail at admin@ottawafootysevens.com.
