The 2017 Kicking Cancer’s Butt Tournament may be sold out but don’t forget you have another awesome opportunity to contribute at the first ever KICKING CANCER”S BUTT COMEDY NIGHT.
Just like the tournament, every penny goes to the Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation and it is a fantastic chance to raise money for a great cause while having as much fun as Rick James on a Saturday Night (RIP Charlie Murphy).
Comedy Show Details
Cost: $20 Donation
The comedy show costs only $20 for a rollicking good night of stand-up comedy. Whether you are a tournament participant looking to celebrate victory/laugh off your on-field humiliation or missed out on the tournament and would still like to contribute, what better way could you spend a Saturday night? The comedy evening will be held at the Barley Mow on Bank Street, which is only a few minutes walk up Sunnyside Avenue from Carleton U.
Dirty Birds comedy will be organising the show and it is being hosted by long-time Kicking Cancer’s Butt and Footy Sevens participant Nick Burden and features Kamar Babar, Kemal Dzidic, Conrad Osei, Matt Watson and Brendan McKeigan.

Tournament Update
The 8th Kicking Cancer’s Butt tournament is completely sold out and we have divided the teams into 16 competitive and 16 recreational teams, We have a waiting list of 5 teams wanting to join, so we’d ask all participating teams to make sure they have registered and made their initial donation at the website the ORCF have set up for us to collect the tournament donations. Division allocations and schedules will be online soon and we’ll post another blogpost with the participant information.
Both the tournament and comedy show are fundraisers for the Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation and as always EVERY PENNY OF EVERY TEAM FEE OR DONATION GOES STRAIGHT TO THE OTTAWA REGIONAL CANCER FOUNDATION. Over the last 7 years the event has raised over $74,000 for the ORCF.
Spring Leagues
Our first spring league of the year kicked off last night at Carleton U, and we still have a few spaces available for a number of our leagues at Carleton, Ottawa U, Louis Riel and Hornets Nest Domes and the Ben Franklin Dome. For registration please go to the Ottawa Footy Sevens Website.
