Stand-Up Comedy Show: 9pm Saturday May 13th at Barley Mow Pub, 1060 Bank Street

Kicking Cancer’s Butt 8 Breaks the $10,000 barrier

Every year we are amazed by the generosity of the Kicking Cancer’s Butt participants and this year is no exception. With almost a week to go until the tournament, over $10,000 has already been raised for the Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation. Three teams in particular have really gone above and beyond with their generosity. I’ll Have Another and grASSkickers are always great supporters of the tournament and raise a ton of money every year and this year is no exception with both raising over $800. However, even they have been left in the wake of Team Grayson who have raised a stunning $1670.  Incredible!
Thank you to everyone who has donated to the tournament over the years, no matter how large or small: the Kicking Cancer’s Butt tournament has now raised over $85,000 for the ORCF. And there is still plenty of time to contribute to this year’s tournament whether it is online, in person at the tournament, by bribing a ref or by buying tickets for the KCB 8 Stand-Up show . . .

Kicking Cancer’s Butt 8 Comedy Show Details

Cost: $20 Donation
The comedy show costs only $20 for a rollicking good night of stand-up comedy. Whether you are a tournament participant looking to celebrate victory/laugh off your on-field humiliation or missed out on the tournament and would still like to contribute, what better way could you spend a Saturday night? The comedy evening will be held at the Barley Mow on Bank Street, which is only a few minutes walk up Sunnyside Avenue from Carleton U.
Dirty Birds comedy will be organising the show and it is being hosted by long-time Kicking Cancer’s Butt and Footy Sevens participant Nick Burden and features Kamar Babar, Kemal Dzidic, Conrad Osei, Matt Watson and Brendan McKeigan.
You can get your ticket on the Ottawa Footy Sevens Website by registering for the Comedy Show on the front page: we’ll see you all there!
